3 divers ventured up to Coalasnacon to a wall dive in Loch Leven on the 13th of October 2024.
At first glance, it wasn’t looking too promising, and hesitation was felt, a large amount of freshwater from recent poorer weather appeared the dive was going to be similar to diving in a sewer, but perseverance prevailed, after we got over the fresh 9-degree water on the surface, and cleared the first few metres of bone-chilling peaty water that you could barely see your hands in, we were treated to warmer, clearer water and a large abundance and variety of marine life. The viz opened to 5m, and 13 degrees water.
On exit, everyone agreed it was an incredible dive, and a site to visit again soon, though, Winter is coming …
